Singer/songwriter Paul Malysa is both soulful and passionate. Winner of the 2015 Akademia Music Awards in Los Angeles for Best Christian Ballad. As a songwriter he is known to compose emotionally charged music and his honest and genuine performance style has overwhelmed and charmed audiences everywhere. 
Following the success of his 2004/2005 independent CD release ‘No More Yellow Lights’, Paul then released in 2010 “Above the Fold” which also garnered radio airplay across Canada. His song "Take Me" was featured in a compilation called "Unforgettable Hits 2" with the likes of Nora Jones, Amy Sky and yes Track 14 on the disc by Paul Malysa. It was a thrill none the less for Paul to be in such a group of legends.
In 2013 Paul was a CMAO Nominee and a finalist in the Eco Arts Awards. He also received his award for 7 years in helping with the raising of over 1 million dollars for Palliative Care at Credit Valley Hospital. Now The Healing Cycle Foundation has gone provincial. In 2014/2015 Paul performed 5 times in Nashville, including a performance at the legendary Bluebird Cafe. He performed at the El Mocambo, Cadillac Lounge and has been invited back to perform during CMA Fest in Nashville. He currently hosts Songwriter Nights at his home studio inviting songwriters to share and create new music.
In 2012 things started to change for Paul, with 3 of his songs being used in a feature film and being invited to perform live during Country Music Fest in Nashville. Paul performs at Tin Pan North, Bread and Honey Festival, Cultured Days, Canada Day and several local music festivals. Paul is a current member of the Nashville Songwriters Association, Songwriters Association of Canada, The Ontario Song Writers Association, NSAI Toronto chapter and the Country Music Association of Ontario. He is also a member of Socan and BMI.
